KATHMANDU (The Kathmandu Post/ANN) - Shiva Kumar Chamlagai will be the first Nepali to take part in Fjallraven Polar, an adventure of a lifetime, as participants will steer a dog sledge across the arctic tundra.
Shiva Kumar Chamlagai, a Nepali guy based in Sweden is taking part in an international Polar expedition ‘Fjallraven Polar.’
The competition requires the participants to travel 300 kilometres on a sledge pulled by six dogs. Chamlagai is the first Nepali to participate in the expedition.
Entry to Fjallraven Polar is by votes and jury selection and is country-to-country based. Two people from each country or group are selected. The person who receives the most votes in each country/group is chosen to participate in Fjallraven Polar. Fjallraven chooses the second person from each country or group.
Fjallraven Polar 2017 will start on April 3 and ends on April 8.
