Large payouts tempt Malaysians to smuggle undocumented migrants into country, says Immigration Department
Kelantan Immigration Department director Mohamed Yusoff Khan Mohd Hassan said undocumented migrants interrogated revealed that smugglers were paid an average fee of US$1,000 per person, depending on nationalities, whether they are from Myanmar, India or Bangladesh.
