PUTRAJAYA – Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says no landmarks will be built to mark his administration.
The Prime Minister said Kuala Lumpur has enough landmarks as it is.
“There’s the (Petronas) Twin Towers, TRX (Tun Razak Exchange). I do not want to compete.
“Under Anwar, I don’t intend to leave such a mark,” he said at the Budget 2023 consultation on Tuesday (Jan 17).
He said what he intends to do is boost the ability and potential of Kuala Lumpur and ensure those in small and medium enterprises are given the opportunity to generate business.
Cleanliness and beautification efforts will also be his focus to make Kuala Lumpur attractive.
The government has scrapped the Federal Territories Ministry and matters under its purview previously are now under the Prime Minister’s Department.
