NEW DELHI – Two children were killed and five others, including two women, injured on Monday in the border town of Rajouri, when an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by terrorists exploded.

One of the houses they had targeted last night exploded early this morning. One minor child died on the scene, while the other critically injured child died in the hospital.

Four people were killed on Sunday night when terrorists targeted three houses near a temple in the Dungri area of Rajouri.

According to Jammu Additional DGP Mukesh Singh, a blast occurred near the house where the first shooting occurred last night. Five people were injured.
Another IED has been spotted and is being cleared.

The ADGP, along with the divisional commissioner and IG CRPF, have flown to Rajouri in a helicopter to supervise the situation and anti-terror operation.
These incidents have caused tension in the border district, where Pakistan-backed terrorists are trying to revive terrorism.
