BEIJING – The spectacular “Youth in Time” 31st World University Summer Games Athletes’ Gala took place tonight at the ASEAN Art Centre Theater, nestled within the Chengdu FISU Games Village in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province.
The event was a magnificent fusion of diverse cultural elements, showcasing the very essence of traditional Chinese aesthetics, enchanting folk music, awe-inspiring martial arts, mesmerizing rap performances, captivating street dance, enchanting magic acts, and invigorating electronic music.
Adding to the excitement, esteemed members of national delegations, athletes, and volunteers from various countries and regions participated in this grand celebration, making it a truly international affair.
The gala was organized as part of the “Blossom of Youth” Exchange Activities of World University Athletes, which commenced on Wednesday.
Through this rich array of art forms, the event aimed to facilitate a harmonious dialogue and exchange of civilizations between the profound heritage of the past and the dynamic spirit of modernity, while also serving as a symbolic bridge between the cultures of the East and the West.
