The project is set to generate revenue in foreign currencies to the Lao government, and create jobs for local people during the construction and operation periods.
They will work closely to promote trade in forest products, enhance coordination in preventing illegal cross-border transportation, among others.
The transfers are expected to happen before Khmer New Year in mid-April.
The two chambers discussed ways to boost Cambodian-Lao economic relations as well as forge trade and investment ties between businesses.
The discussion encompassed the state of bilateral relations, the way to move forward strengthening bonds, as well as increased cooperation in many areas.
Cambodia, Laos and Thailand will all celebrate the New Year at the same time in April.
The agreements show the two countries’ efforts to strengthen their friendship, solidarity and their “Comprehensive and Long-Lasting Strategic Partnership”.
After their meeting, the two prime ministers will sign an Action Plan for the Comprehensive and Long-Lasting Strategic Partnership for 2023-2027.
