BEIJING – China’s independently developed unmanned cargo drone, HH-100, has completed its first flight test in Shaanxi province on Wednesday, reported CCTV News, quoting the developer, Aviation Industry Corp of China.
The completion of the test allows the commercial model to be entered into test-flight phase for scientific research, said the report.
The HH-100 took off at 9:16 am, and landed steadily after a 35 km-flight. It performed steadily during the test, and its equipped systems were working well.
With advantages such as low costs and a high payload, the HH-100 can be used in regional logistics, as well as grassland firefighting and transporting rescue supplies.
