BEIJING – Frontline workers from the China Railway No 5 Engineering Group Co Ltd actively learned the report delivered Sunday to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China through newspapers, mobile phones and other means.
Li Ji, an engineer of shield tunneling at the China Railway No 5 Engineering Group said: “As a grassroots technical worker, I felt inspired and excited after listening to the report”.
“I am inspired by the great achievements made in the past five years and the grand blueprint drawn for the next five years,” Li said.
He was also inspired by the expression that “we must regard science and technology as our primary productive force, talent as our primary resource and innovation as our primary driver of growth”.
“It pointed out a direction for me to follow. I will continue to learn and improve myself to follow up with cutting-edge technological innovations, solve technical problems in shield tunneling and cultivate more technical talents,” he said.

Chen Faya, an engineer at the Guizhou company of the China Railway No 5 Engineering Group, said that the report mentioned building the country into a strong power of transportation, and he was proud to serve in the sector.
“As a Chinese infrastructure builder, I will be strict with myself and keep vigilant and innovative to make breakthroughs in the future,” he said, making China’s infrastructure construction a shining business card in the world.
Zhang Zhicheng, a young employee at the South China company of the China Railway No 5 Engineering Group Co in Shenzhen, South China’s Guangdong province, said he was excited about the report on the youth’s important role in making the country strong.
“The youth are the Party’s reserve force, and we must seize great opportunities, dare to think and act,” he said. “The youth should join the wave of building a comprehensive modern socialist country, and achieve a new chapter in the development of the new era”.

Deng Deyin, Party chief of the Shanghe Jincheng Project of the China Railway No 5 Engineering Group Co, said: “We must implement the spirit of the report into practical work. I will work hard to make contributions to my post, build high-quality real estate and effectively improve the urban living environment”.
Zhang Yandong, a manager at the Chengdu company of the China Railway No 5 Engineering Group Co taking charge of the Yangchen-Funing expressway construction, realized the importance of the report in building a socialist modern country in all respects.
“All employees of the project will unite their thoughts and actions, bearing the spirit of the report to do a quality job in construction, contributing to the high-quality development of the local economy in Yancheng,” he said.
