BEIJING – Consumption has been gradually spurred by large visitors flowing into entertainment resorts and snow parks in China due to optimized pandemic prevention measures, upcoming festivals and confidence in businesses.
Large themed parks like Shanghai Disney Resort and Universal Beijing Resort have resumed full operations recently and launched a range of events to attract visitors and boost consumption.
In recent years, ice and snow sports have also promoted consumption as more people are engaging in skiing and other snow-related activities in China.
Ice and snow festivals are being kicked off across China, such as the 2023 Beijing Ice and Snow Consumption Festival, the 17th Arshan Ice and Snow Festival in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the 9th National Public Ice and Snow Season in Heilongjiang province, and Zhengding Snow Carnival in Hebei province.
Those snow carnivals provide more winter activities for visitors from snow tubing to ice dragon boat races, catering to a new consumption trend of young people.
