FUZHOU – A project is planned for Fuqing, a county-level city in Fuzhou, Fujian province, which is expected to become a pilot area for trade and investment cooperation between China and Indonesia, Fuzhou Daily reported on Wednesday.
It will represent new progress in the “Two Countries, Twin Parks” project, which was kicked off last year.
The project, designed to cover 12 square kilometers in Fuqing’s Chengtou and Haikou towns, will have six areas with different functions — government affairs service, cultural communication, business, education, industries and industry-city integration, which mainly consists of residential communities, talent apartments, medical institutions and schools.A consulate and a government service center will be constructed in the government affairs service area.
A library, an international conference and exhibition center and a cultural exchange center will be built in the cultural communication areas as bridges to strengthen cultural interaction, the report said.A street with Indonesian characteristics, a cooperative bank and a financial settlement center will be built in the business area.
