As per the Commission, the overall turnout among male voters stood at 62.8 per cent, while female voter turnout at 71.6 per cent was significantly higher — continuing a trend that began in 2010.
The Assembly elections in Bihar were conducted in two phases — on November 6 and November 11.
In the first phase, overall voter turnout was 65.08 per cent, with 69.04 per cent female and 61.56 per cent male voters exercising their franchise.

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Dr Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr Vivek Joshi, monitored the conduct of the elections from the ECI Control Centre through a webcasting facility installed across all 45,399 polling stations in Phase-II.
Across the two-phased elections, more than 8.5 lakh polling personnel, over 1.4 lakh polling agents appointed by 2,616 contesting candidates, and a team of 243 General Observers, 38 Police Observers, and 67 Expenditure Observers were deployed as part of the election machinery.
The counting of votes will take place on November 14, and the results are expected to be announced the same day.
