SEOUL – Lisa of Blackpink announced Thursday that she is establishing her own label, Lloud.

With a photograph of herself wearing an androgynous suit, she wrote that it is a platform through which she will be able to showcase her vision for music and entertainment and asked fans to join the exciting journey that will navigate across new boundaries.

She set her fans abuzz the previous day with a post that only said “Coming Soon.”

The four members of the superstar group decided to let YG Entertainment manage their group activities in December last year. Jennie launched her own label, Odd Atelier, last month with her mother, and Jisoo is reportedly preparing to set up one with her brother.

Riize amasses 100m Spotify streams

Rookie band Riize has generated 100 million streams on Spotify so far, said label SM Entertainment on Thursday.

It has achieved the feat with four songs it has released: “Get A Guitar,” “Memories,” “Talk Saxy” and “Love 119.” Debut single “Get A Guitar,” dropped in September last year, logged over 40 million hits and the latest single “Love 119,” did 10 million in barely a month.

The six-member act was chosen as one of “11 Rookie K-Pop Acts to Know in 2024” by Grammy.com, which predicted that it will be the momentum for the label’s growth this year.

Meanwhile, the band is set to perform at the label’s group concert held at the Tokyo Dome later this month and will drop a single and an EP in the second quarter, according to the label.

aespa’s NingNing named Versace’s ‘princess’

NingNing of asepa is chosen as the face of Versace, according to label SM Entertainment on Thursday.

Calling her a Versace “princess,” Donatella Versace announced on the day that the idol is named its Global Brand Ambassador.

“She is not only a brilliantly talented star; she is a wonderful person. She has a strong, confident vision, incredible energy and talent, and she looks amazing wearing our clothes,” wrote the designer on Instagram.

The performer also expressed joy through her management firm saying that she is excited to represent the Italian fashion house as it has always been pushing the boundary and has been an advocate for the confident, especially from the music industry.

In the meantime, the group will roll out its first studio album in the second quarter of this year.

DKZ’s Jaechan to greet fans in Japan

Jaechan of DKZ will host his first solo fan meetup in Tokyo on March 22, said agency Dongyo Entertainment on Thursday.

He has met his fans on his own in Seoul and in Taiwan in December last year, as part of a tour to meet fans, “Beyond the Universe,” which will continue in Hong Kong, Macau and Bangkok.

Yuto, a Japanese member of Pentagon, will emcee the Tokyo event for the singer who put out his first solo album, EP “JCFactory,” in September last year. Jaechan wrote all five songs for the mini album including main track “Hello,” which earned him the first place in a television music chart show.

Separately, he is cast as the son of the female lead played by Kim Heesun in drama “Our House,” which will start airing in the first half of this year.
