Body of last missing passenger in Guizhou tourist boat incident found

GUIYANG – The final missing passenger from the capsized tour boat incident in Qianxi city, Guizhou province, has been found dead, CCTV reported on Monday noon.

According to the accident command center, a sudden gust of wind blew through the Liuguang River in a local scenic area at about 4:40 pm on Sunday, causing the boats to capsize throwing 84 passengers into the water.

Rescuers managed to locate 83 people as of Monday morning, with 70 receiving hospital treatment for injuries, and four who escaped unharmed, according to earlier report from Xinhua News Agency.

Ten people died in the incident, reported Xinhua, quoting local authorities.
