MANILA — President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. spent more than P623 million for his campaign in the 2022 presidential elections, his Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) showed.

His SOCE filed Tuesday by Atty. Drixel Dabatos revealed that Marcos Jr.’s presidential campaign expenses were at P623,230,176.68 – still within the P674 million limit, his camp said.

The document likewise showed that Marcos Jr. did not have any expenditures paid out of his personal funds and resources.

His camp explained that what was spent for their 90-day national campaign were the cash and in-kind contributions that Marcos Jr. received, which amounted to P624.6 million.

Based on the SOCE, Marcos Jr. received cash contributions from “other sources” amounting to P373.25 million and in-kind contributions worth P4.2 million.

Marcos Jr. also received in-kind contributions from his political party, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, amounting to P247.234 million.

Marcos Jr. won the presidential race after garnering more than 31 million votes. He will take his oath of office on June 30 at the National Museum for Fine Arts.
