MANILA – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday vowed to put up hospitals in the Visayas and Mindanao regions for war veterans.
Marcos made the remark during an event at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City as the country celebrated National Heroes Day.
(In our celebration today, we also remember the heroism of our veterans who fought during the time of war. Rest assured that this government will remain active in pushing for programs that will address your needs especially when it comes to your health.)
(Together with the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office, we will establish hospitals in Visayas and Mindanao for our veterans.)
Marcos also remembers workers in various sectors, which he called “modern heroes”, such as farmers, industry workers, teachers, health workers, police officers, soldiers, community leaders, ecological warriors, and overseas Filipino workers.
(Even as modern times present us with changes we have to face, we will be able to overcome any challenges if we will become heroes in our own ways.)
(Let us use our skills to install change in our surroundings for the betterment of everyone.)
