BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on Wednesday attended a Bilateral Meeting with Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, at the sidelines of the 35th ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit in Kazan, Russian Federation.
Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the Meeting, His Majesty and the Thai Prime Minister discussed on bilateral cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Thailand in the areas of trade, food supply and people-to-people exchanges. His Majesty also extended an invitation to the Thai Prime Minister to undertake a visit to Brunei Darussalam.
Brunei Darussalam and Thailand established diplomatic relations on 1st January 1984 and enjoy close and friendly relations in various fields including trade and investment, education, health, defence, culture, food security and people-to-people exchanges.
