BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on Tuesday presented and received Letters of Credence from newly appointed envoys during a ceremony at Istana Nurul Iman.
His Majesty first presented Letters of Credence to four Brunei Darussalam envoys taking up new diplomatic postings abroad.
They are High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Pahlawan Colonel (Rtd) Dato Paduka Haji Abdu’r Rahmani bin Dato Paduka Haji Basir; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Kingdom of Belgium Mohammad Shafiee bin Haji Kassim; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste Haji Khairur Rizal bin Haji Abdul Majid; and High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the Commonwealth of Australia Dayangku Nooraslena binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sallehuddin.
His Majesty then received Letters of Credence from foreign envoys newly appointed to Brunei Darussalam.
They are Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Brunei Darussalam Abdulla Hamad A.A. Al-Marri; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam Saleh A.M. Alshiha; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam Akrapong Chalermnon; High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam Yip Wei Kiat; and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Brunei Darussalam Nawaf Fahad Alsaied.

Following the ceremonies, His Majesty received in audience the newly appointed Bruneian envoys and foreign envoys.
Also present were Second Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof; Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos; Private and Confidential Secretary to His Majesty Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hamiddon bin Haji Ibrahim; Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Awang Haji Muhammad Fakhri bin Haji Mohd Taib; and Acting Grand Chamberlain Yang Mulia Pengiran Haji Raffizanna bin Pengiran Haji Razali.
