BEIJING – China’s Commerce Minister Wang Wentao will hold talks with US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and US Trade Representative Katherine Tai while attending the 2023 APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting in the United States from Thursday to Friday, the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.

China and the US will discuss China-US economic and trade relations, and issues of mutual concern, Shu Jueting, a spokeswoman for the ministry, told a news conference in Beijing.

Shu also noted that China’s network security review over products made by US memory chipmaker Micron Technology is in line with laws and regulations, and a necessary measure to maintain its national security.

China’s government remains committed to high-standard opening up and fostering a more enabling business climate, and is willing to share China’s development opportunities with the rest of the world, she said.

Enterprises from all countries, as well as their products and services of all types, are welcome to enter the Chinese market should they abide by Chinese laws and regulations, Shu added.
