China’s first humanoid robot conference attracts industry players

BEIJING – China’s first conference on humanoid robot and embodied intelligence industry kicked off in Beijing on Tuesday.

The conference attracted more than 1,200 industry personnel from around the world to participate, and the two main exhibition areas gathered more than 30 enterprises to display their latest technologies and products, showcasing the new trends in the development of China’s humanoid robot industry.

The market size of China’s humanoid robot industry is predicted to reach 2.76 billion yuan ($382 million) in 2024, and 75 billion yuan by 2029, accounting for 32.7 percent of the world’s total, ranking first in the world, and the scale is expected to reach 300 billion yuan by 2035, according to the report released during the opening ceremony of the conference.
