COVID-19 cases rise in Myanmar

From June 8 to 15, 2,285 suspected cases were tested, and 52 were found to be infected, a percentage of 2.28 percent, with no deaths.

YANGON – The number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar has reached 52 in the past week, an increase from previous weeks, according to the Ministry of Health.

From June 8 to 15, 2,285 suspected cases were tested, and 52 were found to be infected, a percentage of 2.28 percent, with no deaths.

From June 1 to June 8, 2,154 suspected COVID-19 cases were tested, and 31 people tested positive, representing a percentage of 1.44 percent, with no deaths.

From May 25 to June 1, 17 people tested positive for COVID-19, and the infected people were from townships in Yangon Region.

This is why the number of COVID-19 cases is now higher than in previous weeks.
