MANILA, Philippines — Filipino actress Dolly De Leon has earned a nomination as Best Supporting Actress in the Motion Picture category of the 80th Golden Globe Awards for her acclaimed performance in “Triangle of Sadness,” according to the website of the Golden Globe Awards.

De Leon played the role of Abigail, a luxury yacht toilet cleaner whose survival skills established her as a leader among her fellow passengers when they got stranded on an island.

Other nominees in her category include Angela Bassett for “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Kerry Condon for “The Banshees of Inisherin,” Jamie Lee Curtis for “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” and Carey Mulligan for “She Said.”

De Leon recently won the award for Best Supporting Performance at the 48th Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards.

The satirical black comedy film, directed by Swedish filmmaker Ruben Östlund, premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the prestigious Palme d’Or.
