KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian government’s aspiration to locate MH370 has not been abandoned, said Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

Sympathising with the loss and pain of those affected by the disappearance of the plane, he said Malaysia has always considered and studied all new credible information to pinpoint the location of the aircraft.

Tomorrow marks the eighth year of the tragedy of the aircraft that vanished without a trace, leaving many questions unanswered on what actually happened to the ill-fated plane and the passengers’ family members in limbo.

“We need credible and actionable evidence before we can mount an expedition which could yield results. This credible information can be used to identify the specific location of the aircraft.

“With this, consideration will be given to determining future search operations and re-establishment of the investigation team,” he said yesterday in a recorded speech for the MH370’s eighth anniversary.
