SHAH ALAM – Only one body from the air crash site outside the Elmina Township was recovered intact.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the intact body was that of the motorcyclist who perished along with nine others in the crash.

“We have also identified the driver of the car as an e-hailing driver, but have yet to contact his next of kin.

“We tried calling his family members but no one is answering,” he told reporters.

He said the other five bodies recovered were in various conditions (missing various body parts).

“Our priority now is to recover the remains of the victims and clear the crash site.

“The black box will be recovered by the Air Accident Investigation Bureau,” he said adding that they were working around the clock to recover the remains of the victims and the aircraft debris.

He said the crash site along Persiaran Elmina would remain cordoned off until further notice.

“The post-mortems will be conducted at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang.

“The South Klang police headquarters will house a centre to collect DNA from victims’ families,” he said.
