DONG NAI – Six people have died in the boiler explosion at Sunrise Wood Trading Production Company, Đồng Nai Provincial Police confirmed on Wednesday afternoon.
The victims were Lò Văn Lòn (37, Sơn La Province); Lương Văn Hùng (32, Nghệ An Province); Trần Văn Nguyễn (38, Bắc Giang Province); Trần Văn Cường (39, Bạc Liêu Province); Xie ZhenLong (34, of Chinese nationality); Sơn Ngọc Thúy (33, Sóc Trăng Province).
Đồng Nai Provincial People’s Committee has offered condolences and financial support to the victims’ families (VNĐ20 million for each fatality and VNĐ10 million for each injury).
The incident occurred at around 8.30am on Wednesday. The injured are receiving treatment at hospitals in the province.
Further investigations are being carried out.
