French President Macron to pay state visit to Vietnam

France was the first EU country to upgrade ties with Vietnam to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in October 2024, after more than 50 years of diplomatic relations.

HANOI – President of France Emmanuel Macron and his spouse will pay a state visit to Việt Nam from May 25-27, according to a communique issued by the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The visit is made at the invitation of State President Lương Cường.
