TOKYO – Icicles are lit up in Yokoze, Saitama Prefecture, creating a wondrous scene that will be illuminated through Feb. 23. Local volunteers spent a month spraying water over an area 30 meters high and 200 meters wide. The practice began in 2014 in a bid to draw tourists to the area in the winter, and the icicles are said to be exceptionally resplendent because this year has been particularly cold.
