India records 74 new Covid-19 cases

Eight new cases were reported from New Delhi in 24 hours on February 12. No deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.

NEW DELHI – A total of 74 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the country during the past 24 hours, as per the data issued by the Union Health Ministry on Monday.

The overall Covid caseload of the country rose to 4,50,27,225 with the detection of the new cases of infections. These also included the JN.1 Covid variant cases.

According to the data, of the new cases of infections, Maharashtra reported 26 and Karnataka 15.

Eight new cases were reported from the national capital during the said period.

No deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. The death toll stood at 5,33,462.

On the other hand, 73 people recuperated from the disease, taking the total recovery to 4,44,92,892.

The active cases in the country stands at 871.
