NEW DELHI – PIB Fact Check has termed a video circulating online, which allegedly shows Prime Minister Narendra Modi promoting an investment platform called ‘QuantumAI’ and asking citizens to invest Rs 22,000, as fake.
According to PIB Fact Check, “This is a digitally altered video. Citizens are advised not to fall for such scams.”
It further added, “Authorities caution against videos or messages promoting investment platforms, products, or schemes.”
PIB termed the image where PM Modi is shown talking about the platform as “fake” and “AI generated”.
PIB Fact Check in a tweet said, “Has India really introduced ‘QuantumAl’ Investment platform. A Facebook page named ‘Transaction rights 54’ is running an advertisement promoting ‘QuantumAl’ Investment platform. The advertisement falsely claims that Finance Ministry of India has introduced an investment platform that promises ₹3.5 lakh per month for an investment of ₹21,000. This is a scam.”
“The image is fake and AI generated. The tweet said that India Today has NOT published any such article! NEVER click on any links with such images, as it may be a phishing attempt!” the tweet added.
