KATHMANDU – The Nepal women’s national football team is in high spirits following a series of intense training sessions under newly appointed head coach Partick De Wilde, as they await the start of the group-stage qualifiers for the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup in Uzbekistan.

Intense training boosts morale of Nepali women’s football national team

Nepal will face Laos (ranked 107th) on June 29 in their opening fixture, followed by matches against Sri Lanka (159th) on July 2 and hosts Uzbekistan (51st) on July 5. The match against Laos will mark Nepal’s 100th international game in their 40-year history of women’s football.
