MANILA – Kris Aquino has gone through a test as she prepares to fly out of the country for medical treatment, and revealed that cancer and diabetes were among the diseases ruled out by her doctors.

The actress, who has been battling the autoimmune disease chronic spontaneous urticaria for years, gave fans an update on her health on her Instagram page yesterday, Feb. 23.

She showed herself getting a blood test, which was done at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City, debunking earlier reports that she had already flown to the United States last week.

“Marami akong health problems at present but para ma-confirm how serious they are, kailangan unahin namin ‘yung pinakamalaking hadlang, my allergies and my chronic urticaria,” she said. “Hindi kasi alam how I’ll react to the dyes needed for tests like CT scan, MRI and lahat ng may -gram sa ending.”

(I have many health problems at present, but to confirm how serious they are, we need to prioritize the biggest barriers, my allergies and my chronic urticaria. It’s unknown how I’ll react to the dyes needed for tests like CT scan, MRI and all the [tests] that end with “-gram.”)

Aquino then noted that she now weighs 86 pounds and does not have cancer or diabetes. Her kidney and liver functions are also fine, given all her maintenance medications.

“We just finished this blood test 30 minutes ago to see kung viable candidate ako (if I’m a viable candidate) for the treatment I want to try before we go abroad,” she added.

Aquino asked for the public’s prayers for her loved ones, as well as her medical team who worry about her and do their best to keep her safe and free from COVID-19.

“Thank you for all your prayers [and] kind well wishes but let’s continue praying not just for me but for all my loved ones: my family — my sisters, brothers-in-law, mga pamangkin (my nieces and nephews) and please, my [two] sons, Kuya Josh [and] Bimb,” she told fans.

Aquino celebrated her birthday last Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14. At the time, she revealed that she, Josh and Bimby planned to stay abroad for about four months due to the complications of her illness.

She also recently shut down speculations that she was in critical condition, stressing that she would “fight to extend [her] time.”  /ra
