ULAANBAATAR – The National Center for Communicable Diseases has reported updated information on the current measles outbreak.

As of April 24, 2025, a total of 758 measles cases have been confirmed through laboratory testing. Among them, 171 patients are currently hospitalized, 24 are being treated at home, and 563 have recovered. In addition, there are 38 suspected cases under observation, while the overall number of close contacts stands at 11,539.

Measles is a highly contagious but preventable disease. Health authorities note that most recent cases have been concentrated in secondary schools. To protect themselves and others, students, teachers, and school staff are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated.
