PETALING JAYA – MyKuali Penang White Curry noodles and Mamee rendang noodles are among top 10 instant noodles in the world in the 2025 list released by the Ramen Rater founded by Hans Lienesh, the American influencer known as God of Instant Noodles.

Two Malaysian favourites made the cut: MyKuali Penang White Curry Noodles and Mamee Chef Mi Goreng Perisa Rendang Legenda are ranked 5th and 7th respectively.

Lienesh has been traveling the world sampling instant noodles since 2002, and has tasted over 4,000 varieties so far.

Every year, he curates his “Top 10 Instant Noodles” list, strictly preparing each one according to the package instructions—without any added seasoning—to ensure fairness and consistency, earning him the trust of instant noodle lovers worldwide.

For the tenth consecutive year, the top spot went to Prima Taste Wholegrain Laksa La Mian from Singapore.

Lienesh praised it as “flavourful, spicy and rich, with bouncy and smooth noodles.”

For the MyKuali white curry noodles from Malaysia, he described the plump noodles, a rich and thick broth with shrimp paste and spiciness was a game changer for him.

“It absolutely blew my mind and still does to this day.

“If you have not tried Malaysian curry, you are really missing out,” he said.

Also on the list is the Mamee Chef Mi Goreng Perisa Rendang Legenda. Ranked 7th, Lienesh highlighted the signature Thai basil aroma, rich flavor profile and appetizing taste.

“This is particularly wonderful. Take a great noodle and pair it with the flavors of traditional mi goreng, and add a strong basil bump to it. Really gives it a nice gourmet experience and really quite exotic.

Malaysian netizens were thrilled to see local brands on the world stage, leaving comments like “Well-deserved!”, “International recognition at last!”, and “Our flavors are being seen!”

According to the World Instant Noodles Association (WINA) 2023 data, global annual consumption of instant noodles reached 120.2 billion packs.

Malaysians consumed 1.64 billion packs—48 packs per person per year, placing Malaysia 6th globally in per capita consumption.

This highlights the country’s deep love for instant noodles.
