Mongolia welcomes 418,732 tourists in first half of 2026

Tourist arrivals are expected to continue rising as Mongolia enters the peak summer travel season and preparations begin for the National Naadam Festival, one of the country's largest annual events.

ULAANBAATAR – As of July 1, 2026, Mongolia has welcomed 418,732 foreign tourists, marking an increase of 69,088 visitors, or 19.8 percent, compared to the same period in 2025.

The number of foreign tourist arrivals over the past four years is as follows:

2023: 263,683
2024: 295,535
2025: 349,644
2026: 418,732

Compared with the same period in 2023, the number of foreign tourists has increased by 155,049, or 58.8 percent.
