Mongolian powerlifter wins gold by lifting 236kg

ULAANBAATAR – The 2026 Asia-Oceania Open Para Powerlifting Championships was held in Bangkok, Thailand, between April 3 and 13.

Five Mongolian athletes are competing in the championship under the leadership of Sukhbaatar Order holder and Honored Coach D.Battulga. Hero of Labor and Honored Athlete E.Sodnompiljee won the gold medal in the men’s 107 kg category.

He secured his fourth medal at the competition by lifting 236 kg in the bench press. He had previously won two gold medals and one bronze medal.
