Myanmar reaches agreement to buy US soybeans

YANGON – The US Embassy in Myanmar announced that it has reached an agreement to purchase American soybean meal from Myanmar.

The U.S. Embassy is pleased to witness the signing of a new agreement between U.S. exporters and Myanmar buyers to increase U.S. soybean exports to Southeast Asia, the embassy said.

The US Embassy said that these partnerships will not only open new markets for American farmers, but also strengthen strong supply chains and long-term economic ties in the region. It welcomes trade initiatives that will support economic growth and create new opportunities for producers and buyers.
