Myanmar worker dies after falling into grinding mill at factory in Chonburi, Thailand

According to reports from Thailand, authorities believe the deceased fell asleep after working for long hours and died in the mill. They are reviewing CCTV footage and calling in colleagues to investigate to take legal action.

YANGON – A Burmese worker died after falling from a grinding mill at a factory in Chonburi province, Thailand, on November 20, according to local news outlet Khaosod.

At around 12:00 p.m. on November 20, police and rescue teams were called to investigate a report of a person falling into a grinding machine at a factory in Ban Baan Township, Chonburi Province, Thailand.

When relevant officials and rescue teams inspected the factory, they found a large grinding machine and human remains crushed inside.

The deceased who fell into the grinding machine was identified as a 24-year-old Burmese worker named Ko Zaw Ko.

According to reports from Thailand, authorities believe that the deceased fell asleep after working for long hours and died in the mill. They are reviewing CCTV footage and calling in colleagues to investigate in order to take legal action.
