Myanmar’s two Vice Presidents met separately with Pakistani Ambassador to further enhance cooperation in trade, investment

They discussed ways to further strengthen diplomatic relations and friendship between Myanmar and Pakistan.

YANGON – The two vice presidents met separately with the Pakistani ambassador to Myanmar to discuss ways to further enhance cooperation in trade and investment sectors , as well as cooperation in medical research .

Vice President U Nyo Saw received HE Mr. Tariq Karim, Ambassador of Pakistan to Myanmar , at  the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw on the afternoon of May 4. They discussed ways to further strengthen diplomatic relations and friendship between Myanmar and Pakistan, ways to further enhance cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, current cooperation in human resource development , and ways to cooperate in the development of the tourism sector .

The meeting was attended by Vice President U Nyo Saw, Deputy Ministers U Khin Latt, U Ko Ko Kyaw, and officials, as well as the Pakistani Ambassador to Myanmar and officials .

Similarly, Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye received HE Mr. Tariq Karim, Ambassador of Pakistan to Myanmar, at the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw on the afternoon of May 4 and discussed ways to further strengthen the friendship between Myanmar and Pakistan , issues related to education and women ‘s development , medical seminars, exchange of treatment experiences, and cooperation in medical research .

The meeting was attended by the Vice President, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs U Naing Min Kyaw and officials , and the Pakistani Ambassador to Myanmar and officials .

Union Minister for the President’s Office U Khin Maung Yi received HE Mr. Tariq Karim, Ambassador of Pakistan to Myanmar , at the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw on the afternoon of May 4 , and discussed ways to enhance the existing friendship between Myanmar and Pakistan , and ways to promote economic and trade relations .

The meeting was attended by the Director-General and officials from the Office of the President.
