BANGKOK – A poll on “What issues are you tired of in 2024?” by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) was conducted nationwide among 1,310 people aged above 18 years on December 16-18. Here are the survey results.

Regarding people’s happiness:

  • 39.92%: Moderately happy for themselves and their families, thanks to smooth career life
  • 32.52%: Moderately unhappy given rising cost of living and political unrest
  • 18.17%: Very happy for smooth life and good health without worries
  • 9.39%: Very unhappy because of economic slowdown that triggers debt burden and difficulty in life

What issues are you tired of in 2024 (multiple choices):

  • 52.14%: Economic crisis that affects income and livelihood
  • 28.09%: Cyber threats, such as call-centre gangs and hackers
  • 27.86%: Political unrest both inside and outside Parliament
  • 21.60%: Narcotics issues
  • 14.89%: Energy prices
  • 13.59%: Environmental issues and natural disasters
  • 13.44%: Health issues and disease outbreaks
  • 12.98%: Crime’s impact on lives and properties
  • 12.90%: Agricultural crop issues
  • 12.75%: Nothing
  • 11.45%: Social conflicts
  • 9.85%: Corruption
  • 9.69%: Traffic issues
  • 5.57%: Unfair judicial process
  • 4.81%: Unfair transfers and appointments in the public sector
  • 2.06%: Wars and geopolitical conflicts
