IPOH – There is so far no invitation for the sacked Umno leaders to join Pakatan Harapan, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Prime Minister said if there was any such invitation, they would need to study it first.
Anwar said he left Umno a long time ago, and the issue now was an internal party disciplinary decision.
“So if there are indeed such invitations to join Pakatan, we need to get the views of other leaders.
“As we need to ensure peace in this unity government, we need to consider all aspects in a broad aspect,” he told a press conference after launching the Tambun parliamentary service centre in Meru Raya here on Sunday (Jan 29).
On Friday (Jan 27), Umno sacked former Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin and supreme council member Tan Sri Noh Omar.
Others punished included former vice-president and Sembrong MP Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, who was suspended for six years.
