PETALING JAYA – The standard operation procedure requiring temperature checks and manual recording of personal particulars for entry in premises will abolished from Feb 11, says Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

However, in a tweet, the Senior Minister (Defence) said checking in with the MySejahtera application is still mandatory.

He also said the government would have a new set of SOP for umrah travel, including making the booster dose compulsory and allowing home quarantine, starting Feb 14.

Hishammuddin said the current daily Covid-19 cases is within the capacity of intensive care units in hospitals nationwide and that situation is under control.

He also said that the recommendation to fully open the country’s borders by March 1 needs to be studied by relevant ministries and departments.
