‘Panda Train’ offers unique view for passengers

Travelers can take the "Panda Train" to Xishuangbanna in Yunnan province before transferring to the China-Laos Railway's international trains to visit sites in Laos, such as the capital Vientiane, Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang.

BEIJING – A special train, decorated with giant panda images inside and out, will depart from Guiyang, Southwest China’s Guizhou province, on May 8.

The panda-themed train is a high-end boutique tourist train operated by China Railway Chengdu Group Co Ltd. Travelers can take the “Panda Train” to Xishuangbanna in Yunnan province before transferring to the China-Laos Railway’s international trains to visit sites in Laos, such as the capital Vientiane, Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang.

It offers an opportunity for tourists to experience the charm of regional culture and distinct national features. To meet individual demands, the train can also provide tailor-made services, including a panda post office, karaoke and mahjong.
