Park named after President of Mongolia to be built in Ulaanbaatar

At the first phase, seeds planting has been made in 6 hectare land. Infrastructural issues such as greenhouses, employee facilities, irrigation systems, and electricity have been fully resolved.

ULAANBAATAR – On March 1, B.Sukhbat, a Senior Specialist at the Department of Green area of the Mayor’s Office of Ulaanbaatar City, presented the work of green constructions in Ulaanbaatar in 2023 as part of the cooperation between the public and private sectors.

He reported, “About 500,000 flowers of 31 species will be planted in the streets and squares of the city in summer. We are appealing to enterprises to plant flowers outside of their building. Currently, CU convenience stores have expressed that they will decorate their exteriors with flowers.

In the framework of the “Billion Trees” national program, it is planned to plant 120 million trees in Ulaanbaatar city. 55 million of them will be planted as road paths, and 65 million will be planted on 3750 hectares of land for the purpose of urban green area development.

The President of Mongolia directed to build a park named after the President in Ulaanbaatar. According to this, the working group has been established.

According to the order No.701 of the Governor of the Capital City, a basic plan was issued to build the “Friendship Park” named after the President of Mongolia on 20,480 hectares of land near Bayanzurkh Khairkhan.
