YANGON – The Shan State Parliament has approved seven (7) ministers for the Shan State government.
The first regular session of the third Shan State Hluttaw was held on Tuesday, April 7, the fifth day of the session. The names of the seven (7) ministries and seven (7) state ministers of the Shan State government were submitted to the Hluttaw, and the Speaker of the Hluttaw announced that there were no objections and that they were approved.
In Shan State, (1) Colonel Sein Win was appointed as the Minister of Security and Border Affairs, (2) Dr. La Seng as the Minister of Planning, Economy and Finance, (3) Daw Nan Kham Lu as the Minister of Social Affairs, (4) U Khun Than Htoo as the Minister of Electricity, Energy, Industry and Transport, (5) U Lin Aung Swe as the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, (6) U Sai Wan Hlaing Thip as the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, and (7) U Khun Htun Phyu as the Minister of Municipal Development.
In addition, the parliament announced its approval of the nominations for U Sai Kyaw Zan as the Attorney General of Shan State and Daw Khin Htwe Yi as the Auditor General of Shan State, as there were no objections.
In addition, the parliament announced its approval of the nomination of U Than Oo Lwin as the state chief justice, as there were no objections.
In addition, the following names were submitted for appointment as State High Court Judges: (1) Daw Sandar Aung, (2) U Aung Maw, and (3) Daw Thuzar Aung. There were no objections, and the Parliament announced its approval.
The Speaker of the House announced that the first regular session of the third Shan State Parliament was adjourned for the fifth day and would resume next Thursday.
