People will lose confidence in court if justice delayed: Bangladesh Chief Justice

He sought the cooperation from all concerned, including the justice seekers, to keep the case backlog at a bearable level.

DHAKA – Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique today said that if the litigants do not get justice from the court for a long time, they will lose their confidence in the court.

He said this after visiting the “Nyayakunj” construction work and laying the foundation stone at Tangail District and Sessions Judge Court and Chief Judicial Magistrate Court premises in the afternoon, reports our Tangail correspondent.

The chief justice said, “The backlog of cases has worried us. The judges are trying to keep the case at a tolerable level.”

He sought the cooperation from all concerned including the justice seekers, to keep the case backlog at a bearable level.

Senior District and Session Judge of Tangail Sheikh Abdul Ahad, Judge of Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Md Mahbubur Rahman, Chief Judicial Magistrate of Tangail Saud Hasan, Tangail Deputy Commissioner Jasim Uddin Haider, and Superintendent of Police Sarkar Mohammad Kaiser attended the programme.
