People’s Liberation Army to hold live-fire exercises in East China Sea

The People's Liberation Army has already conducted several live-fire exercises over the past several days.

BEIJING – The Chinese military is scheduled to carry out live-fire exercises in the East China Sea starting Wednesday, according to the Zhejiang Provincial Maritime Safety Administration.

The administration said in a navigational warning published on Tuesday on its website the exercises would take place from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm each day through Friday. It released geographical coordinates of the drill zone, asking ships not participating in the event not to enter.

The People’s Liberation Army has conducted several live-fire exercises over the past several days.

Xinhua News Agency is authorized on Tuesday to release the following notice: from 1200 (Beijing Time) August 4 to 1200 (Beijing Time) August 7, 2022, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army will conduct important military exercises and training activities including live-fire drills in the following maritime areas and their air space bounded by lines joining:

For safety reasons, entering of vessels and aircraft to the above-mentioned sea and air space is prohibited.
