MANILA – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said it has so far made 16,784 arrests in anti-illegal drug operations in 2026, seizing over P11 billion worth of illegal drugs.
According to the PNP, the arrests stemmed from the 14,550 anti-illegal drug operations conducted from January 1 to March 30, 2026.

Among the confiscated drugs in these operations included 619,820 grams of crystal methamphetamine or more commonly known as “shabu,” 2.8 million grams of dried marijuana leaves, 619,820 marijuana plants, 1,816 grams of cocaine, 166,000 grams of ecstasy, and over 4 million grams of kush marijuana —all estimated to be worth over P11 billion in standard drug price.
“The result of our campaign is clear proof that our fight against illegal drugs is continuous and effective. But the fight does not end here,” said PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. in a statement.
“We will continue our bloodless campaign, focusing on operations that protect communities while respecting human rights,” he added.
The police chief then called on the public to stay vigilant and report illegal activities to the authorities to help keep neighborhoods safe and drug-free. /das
