The website includes a feedback mechanism, which would allow the public to submit their own questions and comments which could be included in the Senate’s discussions on the budget.

MANILA – The Senate on Monday launched an online portal for documents related to the government’s national budget for 2026 in an effort to further promote transparency.

Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian made the pronouncement during the Senate development budget coordination committee’s briefing on the proposed 2026 national budget.

“The Senate has already activated its budget transparency portal where all the documents related to the budget will be uploaded,” Gatchalian said.

“So the public can now track the movements of the budget to NEP (National Expenditure Program), GAB (General Appropriations Bill), to committee report to third reading report and all the way to the BiCam,” he added

The website also includes a feedback mechanism, which would allow the public to submit their own questions and comments which could be included in the Senate’s discussions on the budget.

“We are encouraging the public to submit their questions, analysis and criticisms so they will have a voice in the discussions of the budget,” said Gatchalian.

The proposed budget for 2026 is at P6.793 trillion.

It is 7.4 percent higher from this year’s national budget of P6.326 trillion.
