MANILA -Prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) increased by P4.55 per kilogram on Tuesday, Aug. 1, the same day the latest hike in the pump prices of petroleum products took effect.

In an advisory, Petron Corp. said it implemented an increase in LPG prices by P4.55 per kg. This translates to a hike of P50.05 for an 11-kg tank of the cooking gas.

The price of AutoLPG likewise climbed by P2.54 per liter.

“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of August,” Petron said.

Solane-branded LPG also rose by P4.55 per kg.

Other oil firms have yet to make any announcement on this.

This ends a two-month streak of rollbacks in LPG prices.

Last month, local oil firms slashed the prices of cooking gas by 40 centavos per kilogram, or P4.4 per 11-kg cylinder.
