The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said that the measure is part of the rules in place to minimise imported cases.
Under the latest policy, foreign students with valid residence permits for study can enter China without requiring a visa starting from Aug 24.
With the number of cases remaining high, the government decided it was necessary to reduce the burden on medical institutions by stopping detailed tracking of all Covid cases.
Though the seven-day isolation requirement for people with Covid-19 remains, the education office plans to allow confirmed students to take exams in-person.
The further easing of Covid-19 rules comes as the population has become more resilient against the virus.
The Met office has warned that the strong weather system has been penetrating monsoon currents in the southern and upper parts of Pakistan.
The degree of resilience against Covid-19 present in the population means that those infected are now much less likely to experience severe disease, said an expert.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister praised the health sector for maintaining the quality of health check-ups and treatment, and improving legal frameworks, among others.
