KUALA LUMPUR – There doesn’t seem to be a lull in the Labubu craze, with fans clamouring for more of the plush toy from Pop Mart.

Taiwanese star Jiro Wang is an avid collector of Labubu and often shows off his collection on social media.

The 43-year-old recently took to his account to lament how the toy’s price has become increasingly exorbitant, thanks to scalpers.

“I find it very ridiculous that scalpers are buying out all the Labubu [toys]. And then they sell it for absurd prices. It’s really infuriating,” Wang said while unboxing a Labubu blind box.

“They’ve made it so I can’t buy anything [in stores].”

Wang went on to label these scalpers as “wicked people”.

“Of course you can get the [Labubu] boxes if you spend twice or three times the original price, but I don’t think we should let the scalpers succeed. I call these scalpers ‘wicked people’.

“We can’t let these wicked people get what they want. I don’t support their actions,” the member of the defunct group Fahrenheit added.
